"An excellent place, highly recommended. The meat is the best we had in Argentina and the guys behind the counter there are super nice and helpful in choosing the cuts and trying out. The waitress was very quick and always kind advising on wine but not pushy. Salad buffet had good variety for Argentina"

"The meat master is a cheeky fellow. He takes your order without a smile but then hands you the food with a smile. Make sure you include “por favor” and “gracias”! We had the buffet. Argentinian meat is good stuff. Also, it was 46,000 which is pretty darn good value! I was highly satisfied with the quality of the buffet overall. Have your google translate ready if you’re a gringo!"

"One of my favorite restaurants in Argentina! Located just off the main strip in Calafate. Complimentary chick pea and bread- pretty good. It’s like a thicker hummus and the bread was nice and soft. Smoked trout-delicious! It’s served on a cut piece of toast which you can fold on top and eat like a sandwich. Spider crab compress salad-it was okay. It lacked flavor. I was happy to get some vegetables, but I wouldn’t order it again. Lamb pâté - delicious! 3 piece of toast is not necessary as I liked the full slice with 1 piece. Osso buco with polenta-amazing. Such a good, rich, deep flavor. Lamb cocoa ravioli-amazing. Ordered the ravioli with the cream sauce. You have an option between a handful of sauces. I asked for a recommendation and the cream was one of 2 recommended. Can’t imagine this dish with a different sauce. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Ambiance was nice with many windows. I recommend this restaurant. Order as much as you can and share. Getting this many good dishes makes me want to try more."

"We were in Argentina for 16 days. We had steak about five times. This was our first and we didn’t realize until the end of the trip it would be the best. My photography skills are leaving a little to be desired, but the steak was a great cut and perfect done-ness for medium rare. There wasn’t a chewy or fatty piece throughout the whole steak, as a filet should be. We came across a lot of fatty chewy filets during our trip at other restaurants. Even though the reviews were high for this place my expectations were kind of low due to the look of the restaurant. It kind of has a chain look about it. They surprised me. They had great bread, great sides and perfect steaks. I will definitely be coming back if I’m ever in el calafate again."

"We had the classic stew in cast iron pots, chorizo for me and chicken for my wife. Hands down, the best food we’ve encountered in quite awhile."

"We had a huge lunch so wasn’t ready to eat a big dinner. Still this restaurant is impressive with its delicious food and the welcoming service we received. Our waiter David was very polite and patient, who spoke English well. If we were to stay one more night, we’d come back again."

"You can get a half portion of lamb for 26k. This is much cheaper than the rest of the tourist spots in town! And it was a huge portion and delicious. The salad was indeed on the small side for the price. The wine was a generous pour for a glass and a good value. Overall I would come back for the excellent food and price. Bring cash for 10% off the bill."

"The restaurant was busy, and they were doing an all you can eat buffet which looked great but I don’t eat meat, so I opted for salmon and grilled vegetables and half a bottle of Malbec (don’t judge me for red with fish…. When in Argentina Food was cooked to perfection. Great service, and not too bad price wise (Patagonia is expensive so is what it is!) I enjoyed my experience and even though I was alone the team found me a nice table and looked after me ."
